Eminent radio drama director Jessica Dromgoole returns to familiar territory in these five short productions. In the week leading up to Easter last year she put out a sequence of plays set in modern-day London but drawn from Old Testament stories, each penned by a different writer.

As we fast approach Christmas she presents another series set in current times, but the tales of inspiration are taken from the New Testament. The re-versioning of The Good Samaritan by Katie Hims, for example, places the story of prejudice confounded by kindness on the London Underground.

Dawn King sets the Parable of the Wise and Foolish Builders in a construction firm working on a private conversion, where the boss starts to cut corners.
