About this programme

Alan Yentob joins the musician at his home in Italy, discovering the creative processes that contributed to the making of his 2009 album If on a Winter's Night. The former Police singer-bassist also takes a journey into the past, revisiting the haunts of his youth in Newcastle and catching up with members of his earliest bands, before heading to Durham Cathedral for a special performance.
