About this programme
2/6. The chef continues his exploration of the Far East's most diverse food cultures, travelling down the Mekong River to Vietnam, where the local diet features an abundance of herbs, freshwater fish and flavoursome soups. As well as following in the footsteps of his hero Graham Greene in Saigon, he is reunited with a former employee in Hanoi to try out the capital city's street food, and samples the produce on offer at the night-time stalls in Bangkok, Thailand.
