About this programme

Documentary following the drama of the prestigious Meilleurs Ouvriers de France competition, for which 16 French pastry chefs gather in Lyon in the hope of being declared one of the best by then president Nicolas Sarkozy. Over three intense days they work on elaborate creations, from delicate chocolates to sugar sculptures, under constant scrutiny by master judges. The programme follows three of the finalists as they take on the gruelling challenge.
