“I’m not a nutcase, I’m an artist,” claims the English chef in New York, Paul Liebrandt. Of course, in the highly strung foodie capital of America, to really succeed you have to be both. The documentary follows his career from prodigious 24-year-old to frustrated cocktail maker. Redemption comes in the form of restaurateur Drew Nieporent, the cigar-smoking New Yorker who puts his faith in Liebrandt to bring his new restaurant Corton three stars from dreaded New York Times food critic Frank Bruni.
