Feel the love in the Den! Instead of tetchy exchanges and tickings-off it’s warm vibes all round. The compliments are flying: “I’ve got the utmost respect for you.” “You’re lovely.” “What you’ve done is incredible.” All very touchy-feely, but we know by now that when the Dragons are generous with their words, they keep hold of their cash.
That makes for several of those sad pitches where everyone is nice and wholesome and you really want them to succeed, but you know there won’t be any handshakes at the end. It also makes for a gripping, moving, unusual episode with some real surprises. Products pitched include tablet computers for kids, skiing backpacks and coloured guitar strings.
About this programme
9/12. A Birmingham-based nurse tries to interest the panel in a device that raises the height of toilets for people with bad backs. A designer pitches his new tablet computer, and a husband and wife from Bradford try to convince the Dragons that their caravan covers are something to get excited about. A Halifax mother-of-two demonstrates her oven-cleaning gadget, and an airline pilot attempts to impress with a backpack that can be used to tow children on ski slopes.
