What’s going on with season two? Having peaked early with those breathless first episodes the writers appear to have run out of road. Suddenly, those well-oiled plot cogs are freewheeling. Brody has been turned and is working with the CIA now. Or is he? Is he a triple agent or a quadruple agent? Ooh, they could string this out for months. The new CIA lunk warns Carrie not to trust Brody, and by some miracle she doesn’t strangle him with a shoelace. As if she isn’t the one person in the world who understands Brody’s dodginess better than anyone.
Meanwhile, Dana is traumatised by that hit-and-run incident with her boyfriend and dear, sweet Mike does some freelance research on Walker’s death.
