Dallas’s end-of-season cliffhangers have become the stuff of TV legend, so the makers of this revival have a lot to live up to. And while there aren’t any revelations in this finale to match the “Who Shot JR?” whodunnit or the Southfork fire, there are still plenty of fireworks as we lead up to the end credits. To reveal the details would be counterproductive, but let’s just say that one of the shocks manages to make even the blandest of the younger cast members appear interesting. As for JR, well, he’s the cause of a big surprise after confessing his love for Bobby as his brother lies unconscious in hospital. Who knew the guy had a heart?
About this programme
10/10. Rebecca's life is in turmoil in the wake of her violent confrontation with Tommy, but she tries to put on a brave face as she joins the rest of the Ewings at Bobby's bedside in hospital. Federal agents knock at Vicente Cano's door just as he is preparing to give Cliff Barnes the deeds to Southfork and the South American rights to Christopher's methane company. While being questioned, he learns that in return for immunity from prosecution JR and his son signed confessions that invalidate the Del Sol deal. Elsewhere, John Ross proposes to Elena, and Ann begs Harris Ryland to lay off her family when Sue Ellen reveals she will not be running for governor after he blackmailed her. Last in the series.
