After a quiet couple of weeks, Jools pulls a huge international name out of his raggedy bag: the Killers are in the studio. New song Runaways is their biggest, boldest driving tune yet, calling to mind Bruce Springsteen, the Raspberries or maybe Meat Loaf. None other than Jeremy Vine proclaimed it “the best 45rpm single released for about ten years by any band in the world”. So there.
Also in Jools’s torus of tunes: Kristina Train, Polica and Atlanta soul singer Cody Chesnutt.
