The Great British Bake Off

Series 3 - 13. The Great British Bake Off Masterclass

There were almost as many disasters as triumphs in the 2012 series of GBBO. Remember how John put salt not sugar in his rum babas and the sticky domes of Cathryn’s chocolate teacakes led the nation to chant “fridge and pray, fridge and pray”?

Yet when Mary Berry and Paul Hollywood are in the kitchen, they produce exquisite bakes with as much ease and speed as you or I would unwrap a shop-bought fondant fancy. Here they turn their attentions to fraisier cakes and jam doughnuts.

About this programme

13/14. In the second of their tutorials, Paul Hollywood and Mary Berry demonstrate how the remaining technical challenges from the series should be done. They provide step-by-step instructions on how to make a Queen of Puddings, chocolate teacakes, jam doughnuts, a fraisier cake and fondant fancies, showing how to avoid the mistakes some of the contestants made.
