Blackadder II

Series 2 - 1. Bells

Don’t judge Ben Elton by The Wright Stuff, just watch this from 1986, one of the funniest, most fondly remembered episodes of the second Blackadder series.

In Bells, Edmund Blackadder Rowan Atkinson) falls in love with his manservant. Said manservant turns out to be a maidservant on the run from her crusty, barmy old dad. It’s brilliant and you probably know it by heart. Afterwards, at 10.35pm, dip into the 2008 documentary Blackadder Rides Again.
