Ken’s wearing special typewriter-key cuff links and Deirdre is getting suspicious because she’s never clapped eyes on them before. “They’re a bit naff,” says the woman with the collection of oversized chain belts, as thoughts of Ken’s past infidelities buzz around her head.
So when Ken tells Deirdre he’s off to a governors’ meeting, she hares off in hot pursuit with Rita, the two of them acting like Scott and Bailey’s nans as they track their quarry through Weatherfield’s suburbs. But the result exceeds even Deirdre’s wildest imaginings: “Wendy flamin’ Crozier!” she fumes while gearing herself up for a showdown outside her rival’s smart, up-market semi.

Deirdre's suspicions grow when Ken heads out for another `meeting', so she decides to track his movements and find out where he is really going - but the truth proves more painful than she had anticipated. Michelle feels jealous of Ryan's bond with Sally, Maria worries when no-one seems to know where Marcus is, and Kylie tells David she wants to train as a hairdresser.
