The Hour

Series 2 - Episode 6

Radio Times
Review by:
Alison Graham

Charismatic frontman of The Hour Hector Madden (Dominic West) is in disgrace once more; he’s tainted goods, having been stitched up by unseen hands after recent events at El Paradis. The producer of ITV’s Uncovered (who, considering he works for ITV, spends an awful lot of time hanging around the BBC’s studios) arrives at Lime Grove with bad news, not just for Hector, but for Bel (Romola Garai). Hardly surprising when she keeps running out on him in restaurants.

In the final episode of Abi Morgan’s drama The Hour, its personnel have one last go at uncovering scandal and corruption in high places after finding they have an unexpected ally.

However, whether the story will ever get to air is in doubt when Freddie Lyon (Ben Whishaw) gets in the way of some nasty people.
