OK, so who honestly thought that Nick and Leanne would really
be jetting off to have their wedding in Las Vegas? Nah, me neither. And the kibosh is well and truly put on their plans by the reappearance of the Street’s most self-destructive couple – Peter and Carla.
Now, the infamous booze hounds don’t exactly fall out of a Streetcars cab clutching his-and-hers bottles of Jack Daniels, but it isn’t long before Carla is reaching for her secret stash at Underworld. Simon, for his part, is desperate for his dad to stick around – obviously the memory of Peter turning up hammered to that school Nativity play has finally faded.

Peter and Carla arrive back on the Street just as Nick, Leanne and Simon are about to depart for Las Vegas. David wakes on Tina's sofa with a hangover and Tommy gets the wrong idea when he sees him emerging from the shower - and goes straight to Kylie with the news. Mandy tells Eileen she intends to make it her mission to find Stella a man, and Tyrone conceals his dread when Kirsty arranges a romantic night out together.
