Whether this will be as emotional for Rod as watching his beloved Celtic beat Barcelona in the Champions League remains to be seen. However, even if he holds back the tears, you can guarantee more than a sprinkling of Scottishness and schmaltz over this concert recorded on a chilly November night at Stirling Castle. Coinciding with the release of Rod’s first Christmas album, the gig features him performing a big band version of Let It Snow with Kylie Minogue and White Christmas with Michael Bublé before belting out a heartfelt Auld Lang Syne.
