This dino-doc aims fairly young, with cute or comic storylines and long periods with no narration or scientific input. But behind the flamboyant guesswork and detailed but mannered CGI (animators still find jumping and falling movements a challenge, don’t they?), there’s a healthy premise: that dinosaurs are a total success story, not the failures of received wisdom.
The pin-up stars of this programme are crocodile forerunner saurosuchus, the racoonish probelesodon and meerkat-like eoraptor.
