About this programme

Kevin McCloud visits Brighton to meet a co-operative of 10 families, including former travellers and single parents, who are building their own and each other's homes, following a system by Walter Segal that allows inexperienced people to construct properties with the benefit of subsidised rent. The host follows the group as they balance a 30-hour working week with various other commitments.
