About this programme

6/13. Documentary exploring the disappearance of the Honjo Masamune, the 13th-century ceremonial sword of the ruling Tokugawa shoguns. It is suspected the item was a casualty of General MacArthur's order made while America occupied Japan in the aftermath of the Second World War, that all weapons - including Japanese swords - be destroyed.
