Old Jews Telling Jokes

Series 2 - 1. More Old Jews Telling Jokes

Radio Times

The return of one of the simplest TV formats you’ll ever see: elderly Jewish Americans telling jokes to camera against a white background. It quickly built a cult following on BBC4 last year, though, because it’s so damn funny. If you’ll forgive the positive racial stereotyping, these people are naturals, presenting the best stories about ailments, arguments and fearsome mothers they’ve heard over the decades with exquisite comic timing. You’ll find yourself repeating the gags to all and sundry in the office tomorrow, but your delivery won’t be half as good.
