The US doesn’t have a monopoly on earnest types convinced the world is about to end. They’re here, too, hoarding food and packing their bags ready for the moment they have to head for the hills (it’s called bugging out). Or they leave altogether and pitch up in conveniently forested Slovakia, where wood and game are plentiful.
Showing off their survival skills on the internet or hosting “prepping” radio shows, they insist it’s not a hobby… It’s easy to smile, but these guys may have the last laugh.
About this programme
The stories of Britons whose fear of a disaster has driven them to build escape vehicles, construct shelters, learn survival skills and hoard years' worth of food, water and fuel supplies.
