A story of intrigue and possible foul play makes an unusual appearance in Brian Matthew’s show when he tells us the tale of That’s My Life — a single released by John Lennon’s father Freddie on 31 December 1965. Its wistful, autobiographical content proved a hit with the Beatles-mad public but son John was not so impressed and the single mysteriously disappeared from record stores across the land.
