Hairy Dieters: How to Love Food and Lose Weight

Series 1 - Episode 4

Radio Times
Review by:
Jane Rackham

For Si King and Dave Myers food is not just sustenance, it’s also a celebration of life and an indulgence to share. So if the hairy bikers and dieters are going to stay slim-line (and they’ve done fantastically well having lost nearly six stone between them at this point) they need to come up with some tasty, low-cal party recipes. Less fat, less sugar and more veg is the general rule. “More of the good stuff and less of the padding – like me,” says Dave. Time to make some low-fat versions of such party staples as quiche and paella.

The pair also get some helpful suggestions from wine expert (and fellow successful dieter) Ollie Smith on how to lose weight without giving up alcohol completely. Drink dry English white wine not big reds is his top tip.
