Returning after its Olympic break, Casualty has been infected with a nasty attack of wobbly-cam. There’s a long tracking shot following an incoming patient in the opening scene that’s so frantically jerky and fast, the cameraman must have been running like Usain Bolt.
A few minutes later it’s back to the normal static style of direction as Zoe is asked to stand in as clinical lead because Nick Jordan is on indefinite leave, followed by a typical Casualty set-piece disaster.
This time it’s at a rock festival, where there’s pandemonium as a panicked crowd (well, at least 50 extras) get trapped trying to leave the site through one narrow exit.
