These two episodes, concluding a superbly gritty adaptation of Henning Mankell’s sixth Wallander book, really put Kurt through the grinder. He gets to the hospital just as his father is dying, his new love Maja is badly wounded during a bungled pursuit, and he must atone for clouting his ex-wife long, long ago.

“Fifth woman” Yvonne Ander is taking revenge on a series of wife-beating men. Dressing as a nurse and wielding heavy-duty metal syringes, she’s a formidable opponent, as the Ystad cops learn to their cost. But what are her true motives, and where is her final victim?
