Whatever MasterChef contestants think when they’re glued with molten caramel to the wrong end of a croquembouche mould, speed and ease are what most cooks need from a recipe. Lorraine Pascale delivers not only speedy and easy, but also smiley — and we’d all be as delighted as Lorraine if our lives were one lovely big round of limoncello jellies and burger-laden barbecues. Tonight’s opening show offers summery party food from mango, feta and avocado salad to Thai trout cooked in tinfoil.
And it wouldn’t be a Pascale show without a cake: here, it’s one she calls “crouching tiger, hidden zebra” cake. Expect stripes.
