You’ve got to be very game to let the Secret Dealers buyers into your home.
They spend an hour ripping through the house and being snide about your bits and pieces, then put bidding labels on the stuff they want as if it’s a pile of overripe bananas.
Today it’s dealers Mark Stevens, Tim Hogarth and Simon Schneider who prise themselves from their leather armchairs to rootle through the belongings of Debbie, whose inherited houseful includes a vintage Louis Vuitton trunk, and Doris, a forthright 90-year-old whose collection of gold attracts considerable attention.
