After falling out of love with the industry, former gaming journalist Aleks Krotoski returns to the world of video games to examine how the medium has changed.
She charts the cultural move from the solitary teenage boy in his bedroom, through the social gaming revolution of the last five years to the concept of the video game as “art” — the Smithsonian museum in Washington DC is currently hosting an exhibition of gaming art.
The game as a powerful medium for storytelling is one of the more interesting concepts in this, at times rather dry, discussion.
