Josh is fourteen years old and he is a nightmare, yelling abuse at his mother Sue and hurling his belongings down the stairs in frequent fits of temper. Josh is hard to warm to but his family history is dreadful – another hopelessly sad story
of a boy in danger of falling through the cracks.
About this programme
2/2. Concluding the documentary following the work of High Close School in Berkshire, which is dedicated to youngsters with a range of emotional and behavioural difficulties. Fourteen-year-old Josh was taken away from his drug-addicted birth mother at the age of three, and he now lives with adoptive mum Sue, a former social worker, following a series of foster placements. Filmed over a year, this programme follows the ups and downs of his school life and the efforts of teachers to cope with his aggression.
