So did you recognise who Lauren spotted in the hostel sporting dirty clothes, straggly hair and vacant expression? No, it wasn’t some down-on-his-luck member of a prog-rock band but the proprietor of a certain chip shop who has grown a remarkable amount of facial hair in the ten weeks he’s been missing.
It falls to a sceptical Max, Tanya and Alfie to go off in search of him. But, assuming they manage to track him down among all the others who are sleeping rough, will Ian be prepared to return home? And, even if they get rid of those whiskers, what sort of welcome will he get there?
About this programme
Lauren tells Max and Tanya that she has seen Ian living rough, so the couple enlist Alfie's help to search for their missing friend - but when a homeless girl leads them on a wild goose chase, they begin to wonder if they are wasting their time. The thought of becoming a full-time father hits home for Michael as he awaits the return of Janine and Scarlett, while Lola tries to bring Jay and Ben back together as friends.
