Smithy can hardly wait to spend his first yuletide with baby Neil, but fails to realise Dave will be tagging along and playing happy families with Nessa. Meanwhile, Gavin and Stacey make an announcement that does not exactly fill their friends and relatives with joy, and Bryn has a heart-to-heart with Jason.
