You can forgive ITV wanting to get in on the action at a time when the nation is all set to go sports mad as never before. But adapting its Big Quiz format into a sports show may not be the answer.
It’s a wacky, knockabout affair, hosted by Stephen Mulhern. Which would be all right if Sky1 hadn’t raised wacky, knockabout sports quizzes to an art form with A League of Their Own – hosted by the intrinsically funnier James Corden. Paddy McGuinness helps Mulhern out as a team captain.
About this programme
Paddy McGuinness and Charlotte Jackson are the team captains as Stephen Mulhern hosts a battle-of-the-sexes quiz, with Paddy joined by England goalkeeper Joe Hart, retired athlete Kriss Akabusi and former swimming champion Mark Foster, and Charlotte supported by Winter Olympic gold medallist Amy Williams, heptathlete Louise Hazel and former swimming star Karen Pickering. The teams are pitted against each other in a series of light-hearted physical and mental challenges, with celebrity guests joining in the fun, including Sunderland footballers John O'Shea and Wes Brown, and Loose Women panellists.
