The Bombshell musical ships down to Boston for its “tech” run-through, which means it’s all about the sets and lights while the actors are left in a lather. Rebecca (Uma Thurman) is freaked by the big stage and patently miscast as Marilyn - in her blonde wig and fur stole she looks more like Marlene Dietrich. Sly dog Derek (Jack Davenport, switching from sympathy to sleaze) takes his chance and is soon doing the business with yet another leading lady. Ivy is devastated, Julia and Eileen are at loggerheads, Karen unfathomably shuns lovely Dev, and a final chance encounter in a bar should leave you reeling.
