The second day at Crystal Palace, where leading athletes are making final preparations ahead of the Games.
Christine Ohuruogu runs her last major race before defending her Olympic 400m title, while British 100m hurdles record holder Tiffany Porter faces Australian world champion Sally Pearson in what could be a preview of August’s final.
The most mouthwatering contest, however, comes in the men’s triple-jump, where Phillips Idowu goes head to head with Christian Taylor, the American who stripped him of his world championship crown last year in Daegu.
About this programme
John Inverdale presents coverage of day two of the eighth Diamond League meeting of the season at Crystal Palace, as the world's best athletes face each other. Should he be fit enough to participate, 2009 world champion triple-jumper Phillips Idowu is scheduled to compete against the man who took the gold medal last year in Daegu, Christian Taylor of the United States. Other British athletes of note who could be in line to feature today include Christine Ohuruogu, who claimed gold in the 400m at the 2008 Olympics in Beijing, and British 100m hurdles record-holder Tiffany Porter, who will race against Australia's world champion Sally Pearson. With analysis from Colin Jackson and Denise Lewis.
