Oh dear. His wife is still missing, and there are holes in his story that David just can’t explain: sheriff Emma is struggling to find out what happened. Maybe she’ll get some help from waitress Ruby, who’s been spellbound by August’s tales of the lemurs of Nepal (er, what?); dreaming of the world beyond Storybrooke, she’s quit her job at the diner but needs something else to do.
In the fairy-tale forest, Ruby’s alter ego is Red Riding Hood, who lives a sheltered life with Granny, while their community is menaced by a blood-thirsty wolf. Can her new friend Snow White help her break from her chains, or is there an even grimmer secret lurking? A surprisingly dark take on the classic tale, as the fantasy drama goes all Angela Carter.
