Get ready with the pause button as Sky’s original star US import returns with two terrific episodes packed full of blink-and-you’ll-miss-them visual gags and parodies. First up, Homer and Marge ask the kids which parent they prefer – and their tussle turns into a dig at the pretensions of culinary bloggers, with Gordon Ramsay in a bleeping good cameo.

Then it’s the turn of Harry Potter and Twilight to receive a sideswipe as the ugly truth of the young adult book market is revealed – featuring a Mr Burns-a-like evil publisher and Neil Gaiman as a scamming author. The writing’s sharp and witty; it’s good to have the family back at their best.
