Phil must be so sick of people losing the plot around him: first son Ben gets carried away with a photo frame round at Heather’s and now his sangria-soaked girlfriend Shirley is singing from the top of the public toilets at the local barbecue.
This spectacle should at least shift the gaze away from Kat, who agrees to meet her secret lover in an alleyway. My money is on Jack being her mystery man, but there’s always the fear that Derek is the one getting his wicked way.
The sight of Kat running her hands through his pomaded hair would surely earn EastEnders a post-watershed slot.
About this programme
Kat tries to soothe her guilty conscience by working to fix her relationship with Alfie. Janine is furious to discover Michael has given the baby a different name without her consent, Derek makes another attempt to bond with Joey, and Shirley is overwhelmed by grief - until she receives support from an unlikely source.
