I like the way Person of Interest scatters helpful tips through its plot. Did you know that you can treat a bullet wound to the shoulder by sprinkling raw cocaine over it then sealing the wound with household glue? Naturally this life skill comes courtesy of suited superhero John Reese, and the wound belongs to a man he’s protecting, who witnessed a Mob hit that has something to do with the mysterious Elias.
This Elias is not to be trifled with: “He’ll reunite the five [Mafia] families and take out the Russian trash,” says the victim’s widow. As Reese hides out in a dingy apartment block the plot seems to be treading water, but is actually gathering itself for a big, unholy twist.
