This bracingly strange reality show throws up memorable TV moments. On the wisdom-of-crowds principle, 50 strangers spend a week following someone with a big decision to make – not following on screen, but actually physically following, like a ragged host of guardian angels. Except these angels lob tricky questions through your kitchen window and comb through your belongings.

Tonight they politely mob single mum Andreena Boyle-Walton. She lives in Walthamstow, east London, and is thinking of sending ten-year-old daughter Renee to live with her father in Devon. There are moving twists to the story (Andreena’s emotions are complicated) and a tough call for the collective agony aunt to make.

About this programme

2/3. Andreena Bogle-Walton, a single mother from London, seeks the advice of a panel of 50 strangers as she tries to decide whether she should send her 10-year-old daughter Renee to live with her father in Devon. She fears the close bond between them may start to disappear if Renee moves away, but also worries that she is denying her the opportunity of a better life by keeping her in the capital. The outsiders observe Andreena's life over the course of a week, and try to give her guidance about what they believe is the right decision.
