No matter how full of life you might be feeling when a documentary about funerals comes on, give it half an hour and you’ll be planning your own grand exit.
This second episode of Dead Good Job is about the ways in which we personalise the last goodbye, even when the strictures of religion mean that mourners can’t always have exactly what they want.
Sometimes the bereaved need a lot of help and support to get things “right”; others know instinctively how to throw a party. And at the party to celebrate the life of businessman Derek Hunt, a funeral photographer is on hand to capture rituals that are as significant as they are sad.
