“Dad, it’s not going to kill her to walk.” “And it’s not going to kill me to drive her.” When you hear an exchange like this in Casualty you know just where it’s leading… that’s right, to a car crash. The surprise this time is that it also leads to Jeff acting the matador when an angry bull charges the accident scene. It’s a solitary comic moment in a catalogue of tragedies and sordid secrets that unravel in the resus room.
Dylan and Tess advise a vulnerable pregnant woman whose husband is pressurising her to have a C-section, while Fletch lends support to a swimmer. And Zoe is doing her best to avoid meeting the grieving father of Danny, the lad she was unable to save after he was crushed at a rock festival.
About this programme
4/44. Dylan and Tess advise an agitated expectant mother whose husband is pressuring her to have a caesarean section, while Fletch tries to unravel the relationship between a teenage girl and her swimming coach. Jeff and Tamzin attend to a taxi driver who crashed into a field after falling asleep at the wheel, only to find he has a pregnant passenger in the car with him. But they get even more than they bargained for when they come face to face with an angry bull.
