Walter Kershaw is not your average 71-year-old man. He doesn’t like living with other people, he became a father just ten years ago and he pioneered street art at the end of the 1960s when he began painting huge, bright, vibrant pictures on the walls of condemned buildings in Rochdale.
We hear from his peers and the mother of his children but, most fascinating of all, we have Walter’s take on his work. He laughs at the derogatory reviews given to his sculptures, and bats aside any connection with politics. What remains is a wonderful thing: a man who loves his life and would not change any part of it.
