The Charlie’s Angels of UK consumer rights, Angela Rippon, Gloria Hunniford and Julia Somerville apply their anti-conman powers to three more real-life situations. In this episode they take on those lovely-sounding guaranteed cash prizes that anyone with a postbox or an email address is ”lucky” enough to be offered from time to time. Why do they almost always fail to materialise, and is it wise to enter a dialogue with the people who are offering them?
The trio also expose the companies that are taking advantage of an easy payment system, and we meet a woman who was tricked into revealing her bank details, leaving her vulnerable to theft.
