Lynda Bellingham looks far too well turned-out to have actually slept in her lovely vintage VW splitscreen camper van, but Battenberg (for that is “his” name) is doing sterling service nonetheless.
In this episode he takes her to Aberystwyth in mid-Wales, where she is on stew duty to feed harness racers at a summer meeting. Slung low in a precarious position on two-wheeled carriages behind their horses, they appear to be risking life and limb - so the least they deserve is a good feed.
She also helps to make chocolate cakes spiked with a slosh of stout at
a haunted mansion. Will the smell of baking draw out the house’s spirits?
