Steve Punt parks his comedy persona aside — well, sort of — for another series in which he turns gumshoe. And what a real-life puzzler he opens with. Retired anaesthetist Kris Ruddjers died with no family to claim his possessions. These included a set of trunks in storage that had been sent to and then retrieved from the States. Inside, packed among ordinary personal possessions, were handguns, listening devices and bomb-making equipment. Was Mr Ruddjers a lone oddball, a spy or part of a terrorist cell? Punt is on the case.
About this programme
New series. Steve Punt turns private investigator once again to solve another selection of unusual cases. He begins by focusing on why retired anaesthetist Kris Ruddjers, who died in 2010, left behind handguns, surveillance equipment and bomb-making materials among his possessions. Digging deeper into the mystery, Steve discovers there was more to the man than met the eye and that his name was actually an alias.
