Rarely has a show lived up so wholeheartedly to its title. Short of a new sketch show called Patchy, it’d be hard to give a series a more critically inviting label. But Hit & Miss does offer some rewards: in this episode there’s a gripping scene where a hit job doesn’t go to plan, but these thriller-ish segments feel like they belong in a different drama to, say, the one where Leonie is befriending the homeless chap. But it holds together. Just.
