Mrs Tembe is concerned about Alec, a fellow churchgoer (Christopher Godwin), who’s had a leg operation but has no one to look after him. However, that seems to be the least of his problems. Following a visit from a young man called Jazza (Eugene Collins) and a teenage girl, Sienna (Harriet Cains), nosey Mrs Tembe can’t help but notice the bruises on Alec’s face.
Meanwhile, Kevin has to source potential candidates for the drugs trial and Heston sends him off to talk to Hugh (Tom Lorcan), a man of similar age to Kevin whose life has been blighted by lupus. However, has Kevin made a promise he can’t keep?
