“Everything’s going to be OK, I promise,” says DB Russell (Ted Danson) to a terrified witness-victim, the kind of not-reassuring reassurance that crime-show heroes routinely issue in the face of serial killers, but somehow sounds more credible coming from Ted Danson.
The women of Las Vegas have good cause to be worried: there’s a hair fetishist on the loose who is killing women, blinding them, stuffing braids in their mouths and leaving them dressed like something from an early Brian De Palma film. “Extreme makeover, psychopath edition,” as Sara puts it. The case is horror-movie unpleasant at times, but Danson, like a cool uncle, makes everything better.
About this programme

A clue at the scene leads DB and the team to suspect the culprit has an unusual fetish - and they realise they are searching for a serial killer when another woman dies in similar circumstances.
