This is a bit like DIY SOS except that the design-and-build team have a tiny budget to renovate someone’s home in three days and increase its value by £15,000 — if the three estate agents called in to revalue the place reckon they’ve failed, they don’t get paid.

The first challenge of this series, hosted by A Place in the Sun: Home and Away’s Jonnie Irwin, is to remedy a mismatched kitchen in Buckinghamshire; later in the week they’re in south-east London creating a kitchen diner, then it’s on to Hertfordshire, where a house extension has turned into a nightmare. The renovators need to sort out a new floor, walls and ceiling — not a big job, then.
