This ambitious series continues into its second week (also on Wednesday and Thursday) and all the greatest wildlife hits are here. Julia Bradbury, marooned in the Minnesota woods, follows the stories of the black bear cubs and their fiercely devoted mothers, while Richard Hammond remains in Kenya at a safe distance from the Marsh Pride of lions.
Of course, we don’t know what’s going to happen – nature and live telly are as unpredictable as each other – but with meerkats, grey whale calves, polar bear cubs and monkeys all waiting for their cute cue, there’s no shortage of potential stars.
About this programme
4/8. Richard Hammond and Julia Bradbury continue the wildlife event following the real-time adventures of baby animals across the world. Cameras are on hand to capture any developments as they happen with the lion cubs of Kenya's Masai Mara, the black bear mums teaching their cubs to feed and stay safe from wolves in the Northwoods of Minnesota, the monkeys and meerkats of South Africa and Sri Lanka, and the giant river otters of the Peruvian Amazon as they attempt to survive in crocodile-infested waters. Continues Wednesday.
