About this programme

8/12. Fred takes his traction engine to an old friend to get it repaired, before meeting a pattern-maker who owns six similar machines and who takes him on a trip to a local foundry. Fred also visits a steam-powered museum and garden centre, and a family clock-maker, who shows him how cogs are made.
